U.S. Patent

Padrack patent

The invention is a device for mounting tablets on dashboards without having to drill holes to support it.  I screwed around with various designs for 4 years since a month after the first iPad was released before I developed a prototype that is stable on rough roads, portable, and convenient.

The Padrack is not in the market now, 2016.  Drivers seem to consider their smart phones as good enough and have no compelling reason to buy the Padrack.  What is needed is a killer app that convinces them otherwise.  I’m seeking ideas for that now.  The more that smart and self driving cars improve the more chance that drivers will want some of those features and a larger screen than a smartphone.

The market is the hundreds of millions of cars on the road that don’t have the latest smart car features.  It is a huge untapped market.
